A Heartfelt Thank You

In an emotional video obtained by Fox News Digital, Alexis Nungaray, the mother of murder victim Jocelyn Nungaray, shared her gratitude for the president’s efforts. Jocelyn, a 12-year-old girl, tragically lost her life at the hands of illegal immigrants.

“From the bottom of my absolute heart and my family’s heart, we truly appreciate everything that you’ve done for us,” Nungaray said. “It means absolutely the world to bring justice to my daughter, to Jocelyn, and to every other family, to not have to go through what we’re going through. Thank you for everything.”

Supporting the Foster Care and Adoption Communities

Haley Ferguson, a former foster child attended the event as a special invitee of the First Lady, Melania Trump. In the video, she expressed her appreciation saying, “Thank you, President Trump, for giving me this opportunity to be a light for the foster care community and the adoption community.”

First Lady’s Role in the Address

Melania Trump announced earlier in the day that she would invite 15 “everyday Americans” to join Trump’s first address to Congress after his return to the White House in January. The guests represented diverse backgrounds and shared significant stories about the adverse impact of the previous administration.

The White House described the guests as individuals who have experienced “incredible stories about the disaster wrought by the previous administration, and the historic achievements President Trump has already enacted to usher in the Golden Age of America.”

Guests Share Their Stories

In addition to Alexis Nungaray, Allyson Comperatore, the daughter of Corey Comperatore—who was killed during an assassination attempt on Trump at a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania—also spoke fondly about the president. “I just want to thank you for involving our families. It meant more than you could probably ever imagine,” she remarked in the video.

The Theme of Trump’s Address

The White House revealed to Fox News Digital that the theme of the speech would be “The Renewal of the American Dream.” It would cover four main sections: accomplishments during Trump’s second term both domestically and internationally; the administration’s achievements regarding the economy; renewed efforts to secure additional funding for border security; and the administration’s plans for promoting peace worldwide.
