“In Colorado, the carbon footprint of our electrical grid is about 40% higher than that of pure natural gas,” he explained. “Electric buses contribute more carbon than their natural gas counterparts because of this discrepancy.”

Evans emphasized the need for collaboration among both Republican and Democratic leaders to ensure effective energy policies. He stressed that working closely with nominees at the Department of Energy, the Department of the Interior, and the Environmental Protection Agency is essential for pushing through necessary changes.
“We have a preexisting relationship based on my time in the state legislature… We really do have to work hand-in-hand together,” Evans noted, referring to Chris Wright, the energy nominee from Colorado.
