A senior European Union official is sending a clear message to President Donald Trump: maintaining the cohesion of the U.S.-European alliance is essential in the face of Russian aggression. As talks to end the ongoing war in Ukraine continue, EU policy chief Kaja Kallas emphasized that any agreement that excludes European involvement is destined to fail.

In a recent interview with Fox News Digital from South Africa, Kallas stated, “Any agreement on Ukraine that excludes Europe is bound to fail.” She maintained that “The U.S. and Europe are stronger together—this is precisely why Putin is attempting to divide us. Let’s not give him the advantage.”

Kallas’s statements come in the wake of a teleconference involving Secretary of State Marco Rubio and the foreign ministers from major European powers: France, the U.K., Italy, and Germany.
